Credit and debit cards are still the most common way people in the US pay online, and many viewers would rather not open PayPal for a $5 tip. With DonoLink they tip by card on your page in seconds, with no account. Stripe processes the card and pays the tip out to you in dollars.
Every extra step loses a tip. A card form that fills in from the browser, or a wallet that does it in one tap, keeps the moment alive while your stream is still on screen. Your viewers never leave your page or create an account.
DonoLink charges 3.5% per successful tip. Stripe's published US card rate is 2.9% + 30¢, so a $10 tip leaves you $9.06 and a $25 tip leaves you $23.09. International cards add 1.5% at Stripe.
A viewer can cover the DonoLink fee at checkout; Stripe's fee stays with you.
Stripe handles every card number; DonoLink never stores it. Stripe screens each payment for fraud, and when a bank asks for extra verification, Stripe handles that step too. Each tip is created directly on your connected Stripe account.
A cardholder can dispute a charge with their bank, and Stripe may charge a dispute fee under its terms. Disputes on tips are uncommon. Keep the context of large tips and refund honest mistakes quickly; our chargebacks guide covers the details.
