Guide 2026
The donation platform for content creators in the US
DonoLink gives streamers in the US a free tip page with alerts built in. Viewers tip in dollars from their phone, the payment runs through Stripe on your own account, and the alert plays in OBS Studio or Streamlabs Desktop. DonoLink charges 3.5% per successful tip with no monthly plan; Stripe adds its own processing fee.
At a glance
- Free account, no monthly plan: 3.5% per successful tip, plus Stripe's processing fee.
- Tips land on your own connected Stripe account and pay out to your US bank in dollars.
- Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay from day one, plus Amazon Pay once Stripe activates it.
- Alerts, a goal bar, recent tips, a leaderboard and media share for OBS.
Start taking tips in four steps
- Sign up for free on donolink.us and choose your page name.
- Connect Stripe and verify your identity for US payouts.
- Install the alerts in OBS with one click and fire a test alert.
- Post your tip link in your panels, bio and a !tip chat command.
A tip page instead of a payment link
A Venmo handle or a PayPal link moves money, but your stream never knows about it. A tip page connects the payment to your broadcast: the tip comes in, the alert fires in OBS, your goal bar moves and text-to-speech can read the message out.
A tip is a voluntary payment to you as a creator. It is not a charitable donation and is not tax-deductible for the viewer, and you must be 18 or older to receive tips.
What a $10 tip leaves you
DonoLink charges 3.5% per successful tip and nothing else: no monthly plan, no setup fee and no DonoLink payout fee. Stripe charges its processing fee to your connected account, based on how the viewer pays.
On a $10 card tip, Stripe's standard rate of 2.9% + 30¢ comes to $0.59 and DonoLink takes $0.35, so you keep $9.06. International cards add 1.5% at Stripe. A viewer can choose to cover the DonoLink fee at checkout.
How US viewers pay
Viewers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, plus Amazon Pay once Stripe has activated it for your account. PayPal is coming soon, and Venmo is not offered.
Most US tips happen on a phone, where Apple Pay and Google Pay take a single tap with the card already in the wallet, no card number to type. Once Stripe activates Amazon Pay for your account, viewers can also pay with the card saved in their Amazon account. Venmo is not offered.
Built for streaming, not just payments
Everything around tips lives in one dashboard:
- Alert variants by amount with your own image, GIF, video, sound and font.
- Text-to-speech with a word filter, link hiding and a minimum tip amount.
- A goal bar, recent tips, a top donor leaderboard and YouTube media share.
- Twitch follows, subs, raids and Bits, plus Kick follows and subs, in the same queue.
- History import from StreamElements, Streamlabs and Ko-fi when you switch.
Works wherever you go live
Use one link on Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok: in your panels, your live description, your About section or your bio. Alerts are browser sources, so OBS Studio and Streamlabs Desktop both work.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best donation platform for content creators in the US?
It depends on what you need. DonoLink combines a free tip page, Stripe payments in dollars on your own account and OBS alerts for 3.5% per successful tip. Tools like Streamlabs and StreamElements take 0% on tips, so compare the full setup, not just the fee.
Are tips tax-deductible for my viewers?
No. A tip is a voluntary payment to a creator, not a donation to a charity, so it is not tax-deductible. For you as a creator, tips count as income.
How much does DonoLink cost in the US?
The account is free. DonoLink charges 3.5% per successful tip. On a $10 card tip, Stripe takes $0.59 and DonoLink $0.35, so $9.06 reaches you.

When do I get paid?

Can viewers pay with PayPal or Venmo?
PayPal is coming soon. Venmo is not offered. Today viewers pay through Stripe by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and with Amazon Pay once Stripe has activated it for your account.
