Apple Pay and Google Pay tips for streamers

Most tips happen on a phone, often while the viewer watches the stream on another screen. Apple Pay and Google Pay reduce payment to a fingerprint, face or passcode confirmation. DonoLink offers them automatically when the supporter's device is compatible.

Offer Apple Pay and Google Pay

  1. Create your DonoLink page and connect Stripe.
  2. Keep Apple Pay and Google Pay enabled in your payment methods.
  3. Open your page on an iPhone or Android to see the button.
  4. Share your link and QR code during the stream.

Why digital wallets increase tips

Every field to fill in is a chance to give up. With Apple Pay or Google Pay, the supporter does not need to find their card: they confirm and it is done. On mobile it is often the fastest way to tip during a big moment in the stream.

When the button appears

The button depends on the viewer's device:

Security and fees

The payment goes through Stripe, on your connected account. The real card number is not shared with the merchant. DonoLink charges 3.5% per successful tip; Stripe separately charges its processing fees to the creator account.

DonoLink domains are registered with Stripe for digital wallets. There is nothing for you to configure.
